These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. – Hebrews 11:13
Going home the other night I noticed the difference between the horse’s pace in coming here and going home, and I thought to myself, “Ah! the horse goes well, because he is going home;” and the thought struck me, “How well a Christian ought to go, because he is going home.” You know, if we were going from home, every rough stone in the road might check us, and we might need a good deal of whip to make us go. But it is going home. Bless God, every step we take is going home. It may be knee-deep in trouble, but it is all on the road; we may be ankle-deep in fear, but it is going home; I may stumble, but I always stumble homewards. All my afflictions and griefs, when they cast me down they but cast me onwards towards heaven. The mariner does not mind the waves, if every wave sends him nearer his haven, and he does not care how loudly howl the winds, if they only blow him nearer port. That is the Christian’s happy lot: he is going homeward. Let that cheer thee, Christian, and make thee travel on joyfully, not needing the whip to urge thee to duty, but always going on with alacrity through duty and through trial, because thou art going homeward.
Again: if we have the best things to come dear friends, do not let us be discontented. Let us put up with a few of the bad things now, for they only seem to be so…You and I are travellers. It will soon be over… Come! let us put up with these few inconveniences on the road, for the best wine is coming; let us pour away all the vinegar of murmuring, for the best wine shall come. ~ C.H. Spurgeon

Thanks for the blessing, Bibleguy317!
Yes, these beliefs are from the pit of hell and its intended for satan to steal the believer’s crown that those who love His appearing receives. Plus, satan loves it when God’s children make God out to be a liar and oath breaker even if they can’t see that that is what they are doing.
Here is a link for you that you may find interesting:
Amillennialism: the most pervasive heresy in history

There are a couple of statements made that rubbed me wrong in the saying of it but this is, overall, a good refutation which contains scriptures, church history and early church fathers’ quotes as well as common sense logic. And if you make a post of it, I will reblog it!

Thank you for the article what comments rubbed you the wrong way. I don’t know if our brother in Christ dr. James White is an amilennialist not saying he is as he doesn’t talk about the End Times much but that’s his choice agree?

The comments were put downs and, what I felt was judging the motives of amils. We aren’t to do that.

Ok I agree we shouldn’t do that.

Wouldn’t it stand to reason the dead in Christ wouldn’t rise if there was no Rapture which would make no sense since the do rise first at the Rapture.

Isn’t it true if a brother or sister in Christ believes in Amillennialism it does not break our fellowship with them as they are part of the Family of God agree? Won’t Christians who are not Pre Trib still go up at the Rapture?

I agree. I believe so, that they will be raptured. Many Christians believe a false teaching now and then as we are growing in knowledge.
Here is Spurgeon’s supposed view on Millennialism.: https://www.tms.edu/m/tmsj7g.pdf
He, too, does not believe there is two separate people, as some dispensationalists do. I find that there is a misunderstanding on both sides what this means. Some say that Israel of the OT is God’s wife no matter if they are believers in Christ or not. I say that they cannot be God’s wife if they are unbelievers.
I say that to say this: I still believe Spurgeon to be a Christian man whose love for the Lord was great. We just don’t agree on this and a few other teachings he had. He did believe in a literal 1,000 year reign.

I agree and I think we must remember that that either amilennialist, post mid or any other End Times view it doesn’t change they are family they will see that it is Pre Trib after the Rapture at the Bema Seat of Christ my guess and at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb the Rapture debates will be over.

She’s our sister and I love her dearly. I meant it lovingly though that never seems to show through in a blog comment. Pray for her! You know she loves us and prays for us…

I agree it’s so hard on WordPress when you or me say something it either comes out correct or wrong and it’s when it’s not face to face as we all are in different places on the Earth the only time we will talk face to face is in Heaven after eight the Pre Trib Rapture or death whichever comes first personally I hope it’s the Pre Trib Rapture and not death but He makes that decision when and how we go home to be with Jesus I will pray for her.
